Annual Student Awards
Every year, Carrigallen Vocational School honours success and endeavour in many areas.
Student Awards include:
- Students of the Year for each year group
- Project Awards: Woodwork, Metalwork / Engineering, Art, Home Economics, DCG, History (Awards for both LC and JC, Higher and Ordinary Level)
- Sport Awards: Male and Female Awards for Gaelic, Soccer, Basketball, Badminton, Athletics
- Attendance
- Principal’s Award – for the outgoing Leaving Cert student who has contributed the most to school life during their time in the school
Student of the Year awards are given not for academic ability but for the student’s overall contribution to school life, their interaction with other members of the school community and their rate of endeavour / improvement.
Certificates may also be awarded for:
- Attendance
- Participation in school music groups
- Participation in enterprise projects
