School History

Carrigallen Vocational School boasts a proud tradition in Second Level education. Many of our past pupils have gone on to distinguish themselves in their varied careers. The school places great emphasis on academic achievement, student wellbeing and extracurricular activities. We have a very highly skilled and dedicated staff that offers our students their expertise in their relevant subject areas and facilitate an extensive range of extracurricular activities.

Carrigallen Vocational School is under the patronage of Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim Education and Training Board. We are one of 17 schools within MSLETB and 1 out of four in Leitrim.

Our school is co-educational and multi-denominational and aims to provide the highest quality educational experience for learners in line with the Department of Education and Skills ‘Looking at our Schools Quality Framework’.

As an ETB school, we offer an extensive and innovative curriculum which supports learners to reach their full personal and academic potential.
